Abdelrahman, Egypt
Abdelrahman, a dedicated business administration student, was in his final year of university when a life-altering event changed his future.
In 2022, while working at a rock factory to support his studies, a tragic accident involving a rock-cutting machine left his arm severely injured.
After numerous surgeries, the difficult decision was made to amputate his arm above the elbow.
Despite the profound impact of the injury, Abdelrahman remained determined to continue his journey toward independence. As his graduation day approached, he turned to our partner CEH.
His goal was simple yet powerful - to receive a prosthetic arm that would not only restore function but also give him the confidence to step into his graduation ceremony with pride.
Thanks to the generosity of donors through the VHP’s campaign ‘Hands of Hope in Egypt’ and CEH partnership, Abdelrahman received his prosthetic arm in time for his graduation celebration. Now, as he embarks on his career in business administration, he does so with renewed strength, independence, and a sense of possibility.
